ZULA REGENOLD SLAVICK, 91, of Memphis, died August 13, 2022.  She spent her early childhood in Arkansas and then returned to Memphis to attend Immaculate Conception grade school, Catholic High, and then graduated high school from Sacred Heart.  She worked at the phone company before shifting her focus to raising six children after her marriage to Philip in 1955.  Zula was a founding member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and volunteered in numerous positions within the parish including countless hours within the school where her children attended over a span of 22 years.  She volunteered as a delivery driver for the MIFA Meals on Wheels program teaming up with various partners throughout the years to deliver meals to homebound seniors.  She loved playing bridge, square dancing with the Dixie Dudes 'n' Dolls, and rooting for the Memphis Grizzlies.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John Philip Slavick; sisters, Norma Smith (Billy) and Edna Ward (Thomas); and brothers, George Regenold (Betty) and Richard Regenold (Carey -surviving).  She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Bowen (Ralph), Ann Bailey (Richard) and Helen Ericson (Nance); three sons, Larry (Pamela), David, and John (Kathleen); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Saturday, August 20th. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:15 p.m. and the Funeral Mass will begin at 1:30 .  Entombment will take place at the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum on Monday August 22 ^nd at 10 a.m.

The family requests that memorials be sent to the St. Vincent De Paul Society at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
