Wyvonna Henderson Jolet passed away peacefully on March 20, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.

She was born in Cherry Valley, AR on August 2, 1940 to Walter and Essie (Clements) Henderson.  Upon graduating from high school she moved to Memphis where she met Robert J. Jolet in July 1959 and whom she married that November.

Wyvonna dedicated her professional life to the legal field as a legal secretary to several law firms over a 50+ year career.  She was a past member of both the Memphis Legal Secretary Association and Altrusa International, holding various officer positions in each.

An avid crafter, Wyvonna and a close friend participated in craft shows in and around the Mid-South for many years.  She was also a collector of elephants and salt and pepper shakers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Carl, sister Modean, her husband Robert J. Jolet, her son Robert L. Jolet and her granddaughter Janea Jolet-McKinley.  She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Jerri (James) Jolet-McKinley, her granddaughter Wyvonna Jolet Williams, three great-grandsons, Joseph, Dallas and Kai Williams, her brother R. L. (Ruth) Henderson of Colt, AR, her sister Patricia Burnett of Wynne, AR and her fur baby, Momo.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great=grandmother and Meemaw to so many more.  Wyvonna fought a hard battle and never lost hope.  Her one wish was to be around to see her great grandsons grow up…..

Cancer claimed her body but GOD claimed her soul.

Visitation is 9:30 a.m.  – 10:30 a.m. Wednesday March 29, 2023 followed by funeral service at 10:30 at High Point Funeral Home 3788 Summer Ave, Memphis.  Burial is at noon in Calvary Cemetary, 1663 Elvis Presley Blvd, Memphis.
