Obituary

Wanda Jean Bouldin Meredith, follower of Christ, receptionist at Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, July 18, at her beautiful home surrounded by her loving family and pets after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Memphis, TN, on March 1, 1947, to Harold E. (Gene) Bouldin, Sr., and Effie Bramlett Sloman Bouldin, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son Allen Lee Humphreys and her grandparents, Elmer Don and Neochio Kathleen Bouldin and James Oliver and Effie Bramlett Sloman. She leaves her brother and sister-in-law, Harold E. Bouldin, Jr., and Leslie Jane Sartain Bouldin, whom she loved as a sister and best friend; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Kathleen Bouldin Volner and Keith Volner. She is also survived by four nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly: Harold Eugene Bouldin III (Sarah) of Nashville, TN, Christopher Gant Bouldin (Katie), Ashley Elizabeth Volner, and James Wellington Volner, all of Memphis, TN; her pug King Dan and her cat Pumpkin. She also leaves many dear friends, including Paula McIntyre and Karen Farley.
Wanda lived her life daily as St. Francis said, "Preach Jesus and if necessary use words." She loved others unconditionally and treated everyone with the utmost respect. She was most unselfish.
She grew up in Whitehaven, attending Whitehaven Baptist Church and graduating from Whitehaven High School in 1965. She enjoyed many fun times at her family's lake home at Sardis Lake and loved beautiful clothes; she was always impeccably dressed. For many years she attended services at both Trinity Baptist Church and Hope Presbyterian Church. She loved animals and volunteered at the Memphis Animal Shelter.
Friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 9 AM Friday, July 20, 2018, at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Event Center at Memorial Park. The family requests that memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
