Virginia "Jenny" Troy, 90, of Bartlett, Tennessee died peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was retired from the United States Government after many years. Mrs. Troy was described by her loving grandchildren as having a sharp tongue and a soft heart. Feisty Jenny instilled a profound love of Oprah, babies and cussing. She was outspoken and so funny - a sometimes dangerous combination and saying they were grateful for having her as their grandmother. Mrs. Troy was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Troy. She is survived by her two daughters, Jamie Carnathan (Vick), Sally Davis; son, Lee Troy (Joan); seven grandchildren, Troy, Luke, Jill (Jon), Andrew (Eliza), Audrey, Elizabeth, Sarah; and great grandchildren, Mary Margaret, Austin, Davis and her name sake, soon to be here Clark. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18 until service begins at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
