Velda Faye Underhill was born in Henderson, Tennessee on May 26, 1932. She entered Heaven's gates on December 11, 2019.

A loving mother and homemaker, Faye was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. Over the years she enjoyed reading and traveling on vacations with her children.

Faye had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of Berclair Church of Christ. Faye was predeceased by her parents Ileen and John Cook, her loving husband Howard Underhill, one brother Lyman Cook and two sisters, Alma Cook and Ruby Nell Goldsby. Faye is survived by her three children: Cindy Bailey, Eddie Underhill, and Tony Underhill (Debbie.); one brother, Murray Cook of Finger, Tn; and one sister, Louise Hodges of Truman, Ark. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Nikki Williams, Jody Underhill, Brandon Underhill, Alec Underhill, Toni Grasmick, and Shawn Bailey; and four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. Friday December 13 until service begins at 1:30 p.m. at High Point Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Hill East Cemetery.
