Dr. Susan M. Johnson (Ph.D), 68, of Memphis, TN passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
Preceded in death by her parents (Ken & Carol), and older brother (Van).
Survived by her beloved cats, Rusty and Honey, her brother, Steve, sister-in-law, Barb, niece, Erica (& Lars), nephew, Kurt, and grandnieces.

Dr. Johnson taught in the French program in the department of world languages and literatures at the University of Memphis. Her areas of interest were in medieval literature, old French lyric, history of the French language, and linguistics. She earned her doctorate at Indiana University and had been with the Univ. of Memphis from 1985 until her retirement.

In retirement, Sue enjoyed researching and making a large variety of breads, reading books, playing games, and especially spending time with her cats. Sue was a great cook, but was recently being challenged by her medical issues with kidney function and diabetes issues. She had a green thumb with plants, and enjoyed adding new plants to her yard.

Sue is missed by family, friends, and former co-workers.

A celebration of Sues life that was planned has been Canceled due to the health Crisis.
