Steven Edward Starnes, 59, of Memphis, TN passed into eternity on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Monroe Starnes; sister, Linda Moore; and brother, David Starnes. He is survived by his loving companion of 36 years, Debbie LaVelle; his son, Steven Jessie LaVelle; six brothers and sisters, John Richard Starnes (Thelma), Frances Starnes Seviers, Nancy Starnes Spencer, Martha Starnes Dozier (Richard), Wm. Monroe Starnes (Diane), and Janet Turnmire.He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. at Highpoint Funeral Home, 3788 Summer Ave.Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh Lagrange Rd.
