Obituary

Sherry Faye Chism Oliver, 78, passed away on January 1, 2021, in Memphis, TN. She was born July 31, 1942, in Osceola, AR, to Roy and Dorothy Chism.
Sherry grew up in Hughes, AR, and graduated from Hughes High School in 1960. She loved to cook, read, and had a passion for painting. In 1990, she married Larry Oliver. They retired to the hills of Damascus, AR. Sherry often painted country scenery from the surrounding area. All who saw her paintings knew she was very talented and had a vision that could be brought to life on canvas. She loved the flea markets. She and Larry would often set up shop and trade collectible toy pieces. They were known throughout the flea market business as "The Little Toy People."
Sherry was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She opened her home and heart to many over the years and will be sorely missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry on April 14, 2006 and her parents, Roy and Dorothy Chism.
She is survived by her children Angela (Steve) Good of Seacrest, FL and Bert Jones of Houston, TX; grandchildren Ana Willich (Jesse Williams) of Memphis,TN, Evan and Rick Frazier both of Seacrest, FL, Tyler and Brooke Jones both of Houston; sisters Barbara (John) Bailey of Tulsa, OK and Charlotte (Steve) Wicks of Marion, AR.
There will be no funeral arrangements at this time.
