Sally Goodman Graflund born October 5th, 1944 died peacefully and lucid Friday July 14, 2023. Her last month was marked by amazing love, grace, and appreciation. She shared that with all those that were able to visit with her. Friends and family left with love and peace in their hearts. She changed the script of death and grief to one of love and gratitude. Her passing will be a loss to all those that passed thru her light, but that light will keep shining and be passed to others. Sally was predeceased by her parents, William and Hallie Goodman, by her son, Daniel McGown, III, and by her husband, Danny Graflund. She leaves her children, Will McGown and his children Ryan and Thomas, and Katherine Greenwood (Sam Leimer) and their children, Oslo, Roscoe, and Felix. She also leaves siblings Mary Mhoon Walker, her twin Betsy Belz (Saul), Bill Goodman (Jana), and Eleanor Gipson (Andy) and many dear friends.

She was strong, brave, nurturing, supportive and loving throughout her life, especially through traumas that are associated with the human condition. Still, she lived with grace, love, and dignity, and inspired others to do the same. Her immediate family sends deep appreciation to her cherished friend Alline Lewellen who contributed much joy to Sally's life for decades and up to the end of her life. The family also sends love and admiration to her dear friend Ulla Mansdorfer who was a rock and resource to Sally for so many years and during Sally's last breaths.

According to her wishes any donations should be sent to Planned Parenthood or to MIFA.

A short graveside service will be held Saturday July 29th at 3pm at Elmwood Cemetery.
