Robert Eugene Darling, 86, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. He was born on June 21, 1936 to the late Opal Herschel and Willie Mae Darling. Mr. Darling worked for many years for MATA and proudly served in the US Army. He enjoying drawing, was a cartoonist, a ventriloquist and was great at impressions. Another of his passions was an avid reader and studied the Bible. He is survived by three sons, Rob Darling and Stephen Douglas Darling, both of Memphis, and Troy Lawrence of Missoula, Montana; a daughter, two granddaughters, Ashley and Trevor; and cousin, Lisa Gary. Mr. Darling was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gary Michael Darling and a granddaughter, Elizabeth.

Visitation will be 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2023 and interment at 2:30 p.m. at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
