It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Allen Tapp and Rebecca "Becky" Alice Moser Tapp. Richard passed away on July 9th, 2024, preceded in death by his beloved wife Becky, who passed on July 3rd, 2024.

Richard dedicated his life to fire service and helping others. His commitment to the safety and well-being of his community was unwavering. As a firefighter, Richard exemplified bravery, compassion, and selflessness. His legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Becky was a loving mother and dedicated wife whose entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly. She joined Richard in service as an EMT. She dedicated her life to nurturing her family and pursuing her business endeavors with passion and creativity. Becky's warmth, kindness, and drive left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

Richard and Becky are survived by their three children: Richard Allan Tapp, James Chadwick Tapp, and Mary Alice Tapp James. Their legacy also lives on through their three cherished grandchildren: Savannah, Austin, and Evelyn and grandpuppies: Kirby, Woodford, and Gary.

The family will hold a visitation and funeral service to honor the lives of Richard and Becky at Faith Baptist Church (3755 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133) on Saturday, July 13th. Visitation will be from 10am-12pm with the funeral immediately to follow.

If you would prefer to make a donation in lieu of flowers, Richard and Becky request that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation or American Cancer Society in their honor.

Richard and Becky's love, dedication, and spirit will forever be remembered and celebrated by their family, friends, and community.
