Paulette Hayden Davis was born September 13, 1961, the oldest twin to Paul Hayden Davis. She was the third daughter of thirteen children to the late Delois Davis. Her father was the late Charlie Clark. Paulette was born at John Gaston Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She came home wrapped in a bundle of pink and was given the nickname "Pinky" (P). She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and attended churches dedicated to the service of Jesus Christ, her personal Lord and Savior. She practiced her Faith and Belief in Jesus Christ by extending her gift of sharing. P would share all she had with whomever was in need. The Homeless had a home, the Hungry had food, the Naked had clothes. She had a "Great Big Heart". She also shared the gift of smiling and giving an uplifting word if she got the feeling that something was heavy on your heart or mind. Her mantra was "Live your life by helping somebody else along the way to live their life better". She didn't know a stranger, she would befriend people whether gay, straight, black or white, "P" was a people person.
She attended Klondike Elementary School, Geeter and Westwood High Schools. She was an avid sport's fan and a diehard fan of the Green Bay Packers. She was a devoted and loyal worker at Southern Cotton Oil in Memphis for many years and KIK in Mississippi, where she was gainfully employed until her health failed her. During her employment at KIK, she earned her Fork Lift Certificate and numerous safety awards. She regarded her co-workers as her friends and spoke highly of each one
.
She never let an opportunity pass to greet a friend or acquaintance wherever she saw you. Her parting words were, "I Lul ya", not the usual good-bye or see you next time.
"P", which most of you lovingly called her, will forever be remembered for her outgoing, humorous personality, sharp tongue and smiling face. On March 3, 2019, at 12:35am, with her family at her side, "P" went home to be with Jesus, our Lord and Savior and Creator of Life. Gone but never forgotten, she will lovingly be remembered by her circle of friends and family: Daughter: Antionette Hayden Davis (Kurtis Johnson, Sr.,), Chania Busigo and Kwanzale Davis, niece and nephew raised as her daughter and son, Mary Anderson, partner, Laura (Ree) Swift, lifelong friend and "bruh", Renee Robinson-BFF and God-Mother to Chania and Kwanzale, Sisters: Brenda J.
