Obituary

Mrs. Patty Machiavello, the former Miss Ollie Asa Lee Davis, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on October 20, 2020. After a brief illness, she bravely faced death with her family surrounding her with hymns and prayer. Patty was born January 17, 1930, in Oklahoma City and spent most of her childhood near Subiaco, AR. In 1947, she graduated from Paris High School. Soon after, while employed as a secretary in a watch-making school in Houston, TX, she met the love of her life, Antonio Cristobal Machiavello. They were married January 24, 1949, and thereafter resided in Memphis, TN, where they brought up their three children and were dedicated to their church and community. Patty was a devoted wife and homemaker who served as PTA president at Kingsbury High School and as a reading and typing tutor and guidance counselor at Grace Christian School. Highlights of her life include helping to start Raleigh and Grace Chapel Primitive Baptist Churches as well as Camp Moriah,
hosting two Cambodian refugee families, extending legendary hospitality, and passing on a vibrant legacy of faithfulness to her descendants.

"One generation shall praise Thy works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts." Ps. 145:4

Patty was pre-deceased by her husband A. C. Machiavello, parents Voisie Lee and Oscar Davis, and
sisters Mexie Davis, LaRuth Ewing, and Shirley Torres. Left to cherish her memory are a host of family
and friends—her sister Harlene Davis Bass, her children Judy (Zack) Guess, Debbie (Jimmy) Fulmer, and
David (Terri) Machiavello, 27 living grandchildren, and 50 living great-grandchildren.
The family is very grateful for the love, food, and prayers given by so many. The funeral service will be at
11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 23 at Grace Chapel Primitive Baptist Church immediately followed by a
graveside service at Forest Hills cemetery. Visitation will be 9-11 A.M. prior to the service.
