Tribute to Pat Walters by Russell, Ray and Melanie Walters. You can leave your tributes for Pat at forever remembered.
Pat Walters went to be with our Lord on September 27 in the early morning hours in Memphis, TN. Pat was born on July 19, 1944 in Arkansas to John and Alma Padgett and was an only child and graduated from Keizer High School in Arkansas. She loved the reunion in Lepanto every year and taking her kids and grandkids to the Teri pin derby races there at their yearly festival . She worked for many years for Sears Roebuck and Company as well as George Holley Insurance. On May 13,1988 she married my father, Gerald Russell Walters and they moved to Horseshoe Lake, Arkansas and enjoyed the many friends, family and events they hosted so often on their lakeside property. She was a member of Horseshoe Lake Baptist Church. Pat enjoyed playing bunko with her friends on the lake. She also enjoyed going to Louisiana crawfish festivals with her late husband and they had a special love for zeideco music. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma Padgett, her husband Gerald Russell Walters, a stepson Robbie Daryl Walters. She is survived by her step children, David Russell Walters (Rhonda), Jerry Ray Walters (Sonyja), an only girl Melanie Walters Williamson Patrick, a sister-in-Law Pamela Walters Ford (Sonny) a niece, Leslie Turner, dear friends Donna Culver, and Tony and Stephanie Shelby. Pat had 6 grandchildren, Robbie and Hunter Williamson, Taylor Erwin, Drs Shelby and Brittney Walters, Colton Walters, 8 great grandchildren including, Addison, Lizzie, Maci, Alayna, Julia, Maryanne, Remi (only great grandson) Shelby, and a host of aunts uncles and cousins from both sides . Pat wished to be cremated. The family has stated there will be a memorial for friends and extended family to be held at a later date to which they will announce at a later time, but ask that you give this time to grieve their loss. We thank you all for your contributions etc.
