Murphy Lynn Farley was born April 6, 1943. He passed away June 3, 2024 at the age of 81.

Better known as "Bitsy" to many, he graduated from Bartlett High School, where he played both basketball and football.

Over the years, he wore many hats. He worked for Firestone, delivered papers, installed satellite dishes, raised and trained hunting dogs, and had a business reclaiming antique wood from historic buildings. He had a real talent for turning old wood to new uses.

He was a devoted sports fan that loved to root for the underdog, and a keen outdoorsman with a special love for bass and crappie fishing.

He was also a longtime member of Christ Church Bartlett (formerly Central North Church) in Bartlett, TN.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas "Bubba" Farley II; and his daughters Tammy Farley and Kim Hopper; and his grandson Casey Hopper.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his sister, Annette; his niece and nephews Debbie, David, and Tom; his son-in-law Steve Hopper; and his granddaughter, Jessica Hopper.

Bitsy was a kind man, generous with his time and his work. He is loved by many and will be very missed.
