Linda Richardson, 89, of Coldwater, Mississippi, passed away on October 16, 2026. She was born on August 10, 1937.

Linda was a devout Christian who loved God, and above all, she loved her family. She was the matriarch of her generation. She loved watching ballgames — especially cheering on her grandchildren as they played — loved to cook, and never missed *The Price is Right*. She loved all of her nephews and nieces dearly. In her younger years, she was an avid hunter and loved to fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arbert Gill and Margaret Catherine Gill; her eldest son, Melton Smith; her brothers, Allen Gill, Darrell "Skinny" Gill, Calvin "Dutch" Gill, and Steve Gill; and her sister, Dovey Gill.

She is survived by her sons, Freddie "Joker" Smith and Gerald Richardson ; her daughter-in-law, Melanie Smith; her siblings, Harley "Bull" Gill, Kathy Gorey, Margie Nicewanner, and Sarah Simmons; four grandchildren, Conner, Abbie, Devon, and Derek; and four great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service 11:00 a.m. all at Bayou Meto Cemetery, 1115 HWY 276, Stuttguard, Ar. 72160.
