Mildred "Millie"
Ruth Bradley Holland
Sep 1, 1941 — May 14, 2022
Memphis
Mildred Ruth Bradley Holland , age 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee.
Millie was born September 1, 1941, in Swifton, Arkansas to the late Luther and Almus Bradley and had three siblings, Thrisa Gentry, Lynda Latham, and the late Johnny Bradley. She was a graduate of Clover Bend High School in Clover Bend, Arkansas. Following graduation, she then moved to Memphis, Tennessee where she lived the remainder of her life. Millie was a selfless, loving mom to her two sons, Michael, and Mark (Jennifer) Holland. While they were still very young, she rose to the challenge of becoming a single mom, always making them her priority. She sacrificed much of herself, sometimes working more than two jobs to support her boys, making sure they were provided for, received a private Christian school education, spent time on vacations, and had memorable Christmases. Millie had many jobs, however spent most years as a florist for Kroger, where she was still employed when she passed.
Millie was one of the friendliest, loving, compassionate, hardworking, sincere Christians anyone could ever meet. She liked having fun, spending time with her family and friends, playing games, watching movies, or going out to eat. She was also a wonderful grandmother to her granddaughter, Hannah Holland and her grandson, Samuel Holland and loved taking them on field trips around town, to the movies and playing games.
Millie was a devout Catholic attending St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett, Tennessee. She loved Jesus and always prayed for her family and friends. Millie would often say that Jesus was her closest friend and talked over everything with him every day.
We praise JESUS for our loving mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend! Please come celebrate Millie's life with us at 11:00am on Thursday May 26, 2022, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 6529 Stage Road, Bartlett, TN 38134.
