Michael "Mike" David Lumley was born September 4, 1953 and passed away on November 12, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, DJ and Estelle Lumley and son-in-law, Brantly Burton. He is survived by his wife Kathy, daughters Lori Watson (Cecil), Tina Burton, and Kristen Washington (Bobby), and grandkids Jakob (Kelsi), Carolyne, Jackson, Athena, Emma, and Micah. He is also survived by four "sisters", several cousins, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

After 45 years of service, Mike recently celebrated retirement from Plaskolite (formerly Dupont). He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. His favorite pastimes were spending time with friends and family, and cutting the grass. We will miss his infectious grin, his love for life, and his quick wit. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and the best Pepaw.

We are thankful for this promise in God's word found in Revelation 21:4 that says, "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away". Oh what a day that will be.
