In loving memory of Mary Etta Moore, age 82, of Oakland, Tennessee, who peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Born in Elaine, AR in 1940, she embarked on a journey that led her to Memphis, TN, in her early twenties, where she found employment and, most importantly, the love of her life, David Lee Moore, Sr. A graduate of Elaine High School, Ms. Moore cherished her retirement years, finding joy in spending time with her loving children and a multitude of grandchildren. Her passion for making fudge was a delightful expression of her love, and she generously shared it with her family and friends, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. Preceding her in death was her devoted husband of 58 years, David Lee Moore, Sr, along with her sisters Bettye Stephens, Marsha Holland, Molly Jackson, and her brother Walter Bailey. Ms. Moore's legacy lives on through her surviving daughters, Renee Gill (Walter), Robin Berrie (Billy), Jennie Ware (Brian), and her son, Lee Moore (Judi). Additionally, she leaves behind 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Her Graveside Services, handled with care by High Point Funeral Home, will take place at 1:00 pm on August 3, 2023, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN.
Mary Etta Moore will be greatly missed, but her love and memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
