Martha Gibson Lynch
October 26, 1925 – December 27, 2020

Our beloved Martha Gibson Lynch was born at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis, TN. She was 95 years old when she died at the Methodist, Germantown Hospital.  Her parents were Mary Neely and Claude Gibson.
She graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1944.  Afterwards she attended Pharmacy School and the University of Tennessee for a few semesters.
She was married to her devoted husband, Thomas Francis Lynch, for 68 years.  They had three children, Martha Dee White (Keith), Dana Lynch Poisal (Sam), and Tom Lynch (Terie).
She is blessed with five grandchildren, Alan White (Claire), Kyle Lynch (Megan), Kevin Lynch (Whitney), Andrew Poisal, and Dana Marina Poisal.
Her eight great grandchildren are Bennett, Holland,  Maris and Lila White, Huntley, Lindy and Warner Lynch, and Brooks Lynch.
Martha attended St. John's Episcopal Church in Memphis, where she worked as Hostess in charge of luncheons and celebrations in the 1960s.
She was a fabulous homemaker, talented seamstress, extraordinary craftsperson, and gardener.  She was exceptionally creative with quilts and quilted potholders.  She loved making items and giving them as gifts or selling them at church fundraisers.
