AUDRA LUCILE (HARRIS) PRINGLE

JANUARY 12, 1918 – OCTOBER 12, 2022

COLLIERVILLE, TN – Audra Lucile Pringle, 104, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2022, at her daughter's home in Collierville, Tennessee.

Lucile was preceded in death by her husband, William Pringle, her sister, Carol Murray, and daughter, Jeanette Godwin. She is survived by her son, Robert (Tamara) Pringle; daughter, Joyce Haggard (Michael); granddaughters, Amy Haggard (Ron Kaye), Alison Malone (Clay), and Meredith Wegner (Ted); great-grandchildren, Halle, and Hunter Malone; numerous nieces and nephews; and an extended family, the Huynhs.

Lucile was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma on January 12,1918 to Ralph and Julian (Craig) Harris. She graduated from Cleveland High School at the age of 16, from Tulsa Business School at 17, and began work at Continental Investment Corporation in Tulsa in 1936.

She was married on February 17,1940 and lived with her husband Bill in Tulsa until 1957, following which she, Bill and 3 children moved to Houston, Bill with his job at Texaco. They were married for 63 years before Bill's death in 2003. They were active members of Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and then active and loyal members for 46 years at Spring Branch Presbyterian Church in Houston.

Lucile's strong faith in God and love of Christ enabled her to tackle health challenges and obstacles along the way with a positive attitude and inspired all those who knew her. She was a caring, considerate, and loving individual, wife, and mother, always interested in learning about others and their lives. She appreciated all that her family and others did for her throughout the years, especially in the later years of her life after losing her sight. She loved playing the piano well into her 90's, participating in family card and domino games with her family and friends, and following the Houston Astros baseball team with Bill (even when they were losing!).

A private family memorial service will be held later in Houston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Spring Branch Presbyterian Church, 1215 Campbell Rd, Houston, Texas 77055, or Collierville United Methodist Church, 454 Poplar Avenue, Collierville, TN, 38017.
