Obituary

Louise Dees, age 92, of Memphis, TN passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 9, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family. A woman of immense strength, unwavering loyalty, and endless love, Louise was the heart and soul of her family—a true matriarch whose presence shaped generations.

Born on July 17, 1932, in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, Louise lived a life filled with grace, dedication, and service. She was a gifted hairdresser and proud owner of Louise's Beauty Salon , where her gentle touch and warm spirit made her beloved by her clients and community alike. More than a business, her salon became a place of laughter, comfort, and connection.

Louise embodied perseverance and compassion in everything she did. Her deep devotion to her family and her faith carried her through life's many seasons. As a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and aunt, she was the cornerstone of her family—always giving, always present, and always putting others before herself. Her legacy is one of love in action and a life well-lived.

She is preceded in death by her parents; six siblings; her beloved husband of 61 years, George Dees; her daughter, Charlotte Miller; and her granddaughter, Brandy Coats.

Louise leaves behind a family who adored her and will carry her memory forward with pride: her son, Jerry Dees ; daughter, Sharleen Shrader ; grandchildren Jeanie Jarrell and Sonya Helms , great-grandchildren, Chelcie Williams , Evelyn Helms, and Christian Coats , and great-great grandchildren Cash Williams , and Kip Williams . She also leaves behind a host of extended family and dear friends who were touched by her kindness and generous heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held on what would have been her 93rd birthday, July 17, 2025 . The time and location will be announced at a later date. All who knew and loved Louise are welcome to join in honoring her beautiful life and legacy.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace knowing that she is now whole again, reunited with her loved ones, and watching over us all. Louise's life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love will forever live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
