Louise
Burnett
Oct 8, 1936 — Dec 31, 2021
Franklin
Sarah Louise Burnett met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 9:23 pm on December 31, 2021. She was 85 years of age. She is known by her grandchildren as "the best MamMaw there ever was." She is known by most others as one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet.
She attended Ouachita Baptist University, then began pouring her life into others as a Pastor's wife. Her mission continued as an elementary school teacher, and eventually helped hundreds of "seminary boys" as Registrar at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. Only The Lord knows the number of people impacted by her love and service. She enjoyed playing the organ at Providence Baptist church for over 20 years. She also had a simple, lovely voice that was unassuming and sincere.
She collected clocks and teapots. She volunteered for the "Wonders Series," and ushered at the Orpheum in Memphis, Tennessee for many years. She loved musicals and the theater.
She loved family and friends with a selfless love. She gave, even when she herself didn't have much. She loved when we were hard to love and didn't really deserve it. She forgave when it was a hard thing to do. She lived out Christ for us and she encouraged us to love and follow Him as well. She wanted to know that all of her children and grandchildren (and now "greats") had their eternal destiny set for Heaven. Now, those of us who also follow Christ have the extra treasure of knowing we will see her again one day.
She is survived by: Her two dear siblings, Mary Pauline Lochala of Mena, AR, and Clyde E. (Buster) Sullivan, Jr. (Donna) of Jonesboro, LA; her sister-in-law Vickie Albert (Rod), and brother-in-law Dennis Burnett (Linda); her children, Joe Michael Burnett, Sr., Chris Burnett, and Karen Burnett; her daughter-in-law Cindi Stachowski (John); and 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a host of family and friends who love her dearly.
The family would like to thank you for honoring us with your presence. She would say "consider yourself hugged."
Psalms 116:15 (NKJV)
