Obituary

Known by many as "Drive-In", "Neet Neet", "Dancin' Feet", "Sheik", and even "Otherman", Louis Daniel Graflund, O.G., began life in East Moline, Illinois, on April 6, 1942. He spent his early life chasing rabbits there, and then chasing suave in Paris, France, for a year before fortuitously moving to Memphis, Tennessee in the fourth grade and chasing music. He led a robust life. Ever stalwart, he has now taken the high road, passing on November 4, 2019.
His adventurous spirit and his sweet smile took him to all the right places. He said, "When I was young, if I had money in my pocket, I was out listening to music that night." He was friends with many a musician and artist. Later that smile led him into the heart of his wife of over 32 years, Sally Goodman Graflund and her family. Adventuring off the beaten path in every sense of the word was important to Danny. On their many travels he endeared himself to everyone he encountered. But always his life was full of music, his great love. He will be remembered with love for his unique vision, his humor, and his character.
Predeceased by his parents Emily Ligino Graflund and Fred (Fritz) Graflund, his sister-in-law Sherry Graflund, and his beloved daughter Chris Graflund Billhartz, Danny leaves to mourn his passing his brothers Fred Graflund and his wife Joyce, and George Graflund, his devoted wife Sally, his son Will McGown and his wife Gigi, his daughter Katherine Greenwood and her husband Sam Leimer, his son-in-law Ward Billhartz, his grandchildren Ryan and Thomas (Fun Fun) McGown, Oslo, Roscoe, and Dove Leimer, and Danie and Rachel Billhartz, and many, many friends.
He will be remembered.
Graveside service will be held Friday November 8th at 3pm at Elmwood Cemetery.
