In Loving Memory of Louis Edward Berg Marcus, August 1, 1937 – August 1, 2025

Louis Edward Berg Marcus passed away peacefully on his 88th birthday in Memphis, Tennessee from heart complications.  Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Louis lived a remarkable life filled with passion, creativity, and a strong love for those closest to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Sylvia Marcus, and his brother, David.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, June—the love of his life—and by his children: Sheri, Rachel, Leslie, Daniel, and Alex; their spouses: Heather, Wilkie, Clay, Lauren, and Amanda; his sister, Ann Fishman; eight adoring grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Louis, a business entrepreneur, earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. He was charismatic, quick-witted, and clever. Louis greatly admired art and architecture; loved to travel internationally; and enjoyed exquisite food and intellectual conversations.  Later in life, he discovered painting as one of many outlets for his creativity.

He lived unapologetically with a joy for life and will live on in our memories.
