Joy Woodruff of Memphis, TN passed away peacefully on November 5th, 2020, at the age of 84.  She was born in Harrisburg, AR on April 8th, 1936, to Ollie and Mabel Cobb.  Joy attended Humes High School.  She was married to Walter Woodruff, a Purple Heart Veteran of the Korean War, the love of her life and they enjoyed 52 wonderful years before his death in 2003.  She was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.  Ms. Woodruff enjoyed spending time at her lake house and with her family.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Woodruff; Parents, Ollie and Mabel Cobb; and one sister Violet Cobb.  Ms. Woodruff is survived by three children, Walter Lee Woodruff Jr., Emmett Leon Woodruff (Lynn) and Laverne Holt (Wayman).  Five grandchildren: Michael Woodruff, Miranda Woodruff, Joshua Garavelli (Michelle), Savannah Garavelli and Cinnamon Schmitt. Six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
