Jonas Edwin Langston was born to Terri and Ken Langston and his older brother Jason in Memphis, Tennessee. At age 2 the family moved to Texas where they lived until he was 14. They came back to Memphis and Jonas graduated from Elliston Baptist Academy in 1991. He was married to Paula Bailey in 1995 and they had a beautiful baby girl in 1998. He had a career in home-security sales and worked in the service industry. In 2011 he and April Turnbow were blessed with a daughter Avriel, and in 2021 his eldest daughter Shelbie made him a proud grandfather. Jonas was the giver of nicknames. He loved fishing, poker, live music, sports, spending time with his family and friends, and blowing bubbles with his granddaughter. He was an avid supporter of the Overton Shell.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and wonderful man. He is preceded in death by his father Ken Langston, brother Jason Langston, and nephew Justin Langston. He leaves behind his mother Terri Langston-Hartman, daughters Shelbie Martinez and Avriel Langston-Turnbow, granddaughter Liliana Martinez, son-in-law Branden Martinez, cousin Stephanie Godwin, and many extended family members and close friends. He will be forever in our hearts!
