John Murphy Laine, 88, died August 6, 2021. Mr. Laine of Big Sandy, Tennessee, formerly of Memphis, TN, graduated from Memphis Catholic High School and was a member of the United States Air Force.

Mr. Laine was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Gresham. He is survived by his children David Laine (Tina), Rose Wallace (Steve), Carol Prestridge, Linda Laine and Mark Laine (Brook), five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Olive Branch, Mississippi with a funeral mass to follow. Burial will be at Memorial Park - Southwoods. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to a charity of your choice.
