John Howard Bew was born January 5, 1954 in Vidalia, GA, to Howard and Dorothy Bew. John attended Tupelo High School graduating in 1972.

During his life in Memphis, John worked making the homes around the city beautiful with his painting and wallpaper skills.

John enjoyed so many things in his life such as fishing, camping, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Braves, and Memphis Tigers, playing Euchre with his parents and siblings, his mother's fried shrimp, vacationing on the coast with family, hanging out with the boys in The Shop, German chocolate cake, a good book, all kinds of music, The New York Times Sunday Crossword and his dog, ReRe.

On Friday, December 6, 2019, John passed away in Memphis, TN. He had a quiet strength and selfless generosity that will be unmatched by few in this world. He leaves many family and friends that he cared so much about.

John was preceded in death by his father and mother, Howard and Dorothy Bew. He leaves behind his wife, Donna McGehee Bew, children, Ashly Bew Suhreptz (Paul) and Howard Dean Bew (Brittney), grandchildren, Deshun, Daelin, Lucy, Dash and Hank, sister, Jennifer Bew Davis, and brother, Richard Ewell Bew (Jen).

A private family service is being held in Midway, GA
