A Godly Life Well Lived: Joe Willie Jackson

Joe Willie was and always will be a reflection of God's unconditional and selfless love. He was a son, brother, and father figure to the many lives he impacted. Most importantly, he was a loving and faithful husband to his wife Antoinette, whom he cherished for 38 years.

Joe was born in Shelby, MS on August 11, 1951. He would later move to Chicago, IL for 30 years, and later Memphis, TN in the early 90s. He worked for IMC for over 20 years. He loved each and every one of his coworkers and enjoyed calling them on the porch to catch up after his retirement.

He took delight in the outdoors, fashion, having coffee on the porch every morning, praising the Lord, "getting some sun", playing basketball, cracking non-stop jokes, jogging, Old Maid (card game), gardening, watching military/western movies, cooking, working on cars, and traveling to Chicago. He was a jack of all trades but his favorite hobby was raising his beloved Pumpkin, Sarah.

Devastatingly, Joe would leave us on the evening of February 2, 2026, to be with his Lord and Savior at 74. He was surrounded by his immediate family. Even in his final moments, there was nothing but love in his eyes.

He was a leader, teacher, protector, provider, encourager, and was wise beyond his years. To say he will be greatly missed is an unfathomable understatement. There are truly no words to describe the impeccable, one of a kind man he is. He had a love for his family like no other. It has been an honor and a privilege to share our lives here on Earth with you. Until we are all reunited again, we love you Joe Willie always and forever.

-Your loving wife Toni, daughters Jessica & Sarah, son Michael, and grandson Nicholas (Cowboy).
