Joan Melinda Warner, age 62, died on New Year's Eve 2018. She is survived by her sister, Karen Paula Warner McCreary; nieces, Brooke Warner McCreary, Meredith Louise McCreary; beloved partner and friend, Raymond Scott Catlin and Oliver, her Russian Blue Cat. She was preceded in death by her cat sister, Nellie who will also be remembered at a future Private Celebration in the Spring, where both will join together forever. Joan will leave behind many friends and acquaintances who will miss her smile and class. A light too soon snuffed out. Those wishing to memorialize Joan should adopt a shelter pet, plant a native tree, hang out a bird feeder or grow some pretty roses. Monetary donations could be made to the Humane Society, the Stuttering Foundation of America, Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester, MI (Her mother's favorite charity) or the charity of the donor's choice. And Joan, when you get to Heaven and find your mother, I hope you get the answer to what you always told me would be your first question to God, "Why Spiders?" I will love you always and miss you dearly until we meet again. Nitey nite sweet lady.
