Obituary

Jimmie Lovett, a woman of unwavering faith, endless kindness, and deep devotion to her family, passed from this life on April 25, 2025, at the age of 90. Born December 15, 1934, in Falkner, Mississippi, Jimmie's life was a beautiful testament to love, hard work, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her.

Jimmie married Melvin J. Lovett, and together they built a life filled with laughter, perseverance, and devotion. They shared 49 wonderful years of marriage before Melvin's passing in 2008. She carried his memory in her heart every day thereafter. Jimmie was also preceded in death by two of her beloved sons, Earnie Keesee and Randy Keesee, as well as her cherished grandson, Shaun D. Lovett.

Jimmie's greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind three loving sons: Stanley Keesee (Debbie), Dewayne Lovett (Angel), and Mike Lovett. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren — Brittney, Drew, Lauren, and Joshua — and her great-grandchildren — Christian, Ethan, Alaina, Isabella, Lillianna, and Jackson Lane — each of whom she adored and celebrated with a heart full of pride.

Faith was the cornerstone of Jimmie's life. A devoted member of the Baptist faith, she lived by example, offering a kind word, a helping hand, and an open heart to anyone in need. She found joy not only within her home but also in her work, where she shared her talents through Home Interiors and Mary Kay, helping others create beauty in their lives.

Jimmie's true passion, however, was her family. She was a caretaker, a teacher, a counselor, and a fierce protector. Her home was a place of unconditional love — where meals were shared, stories were told, and every holiday was an event to remember. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, and her laughter could brighten the darkest of days.

Though she has left this earthly life, Jimmie's spirit remains — in the lessons she taught, the memories she created, and the countless lives she touched. Her love and strength will live on through the generations she helped raise.

Jimmie Lovett was, and always will be, the heart of her family.
