James "Jimmy" Earl McKenzie, 72, of Bartlett, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital. He retired from Memphis Fire Department with 34 years of service. He was devoted to his family and a dedicated fireman.

James is preceded in death by his parents Curtis and Jean McKenzie and grandson Blake Thweatt. He is survived by his wife Carol McKenzie; his children Angie McKenzie, Niese McKenzie (Troy), James Curtis McKenzie and Amanda Hatfield (Jody); grandchildren Chelsea McKenzie, Lilian Hatfield, Landon Hatfield, Collin McKenzie; brother Dennis McKenzie (Debbie); step-children Adam King and Sean Hailey and nieces Brittney and Bailey.
