Harold Eugene Pulliam (Gene), 91, of Memphis, passed away on December 8, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital Bartlett. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Hazel Pulliam, and his parents, Lynn and Opal Pulliam. He leaves behind his children Jeanie Lowry (Carl) and Todd Pulliam (Pam), four grandchildren - Aaron Lowry, Amanda Sharp (JR), Bennie Eldred (Katey) and JaNae Popwell (Chris). Also, eight great-grandchildren who lovingly called him "Big Papaw". A gathering of friends will be held on December 13, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at High Point Funeral Chapel. He was a member of Berclair Baptist Church.
After serving in World War II, Gene was employed by MLG&W and retired after forty-three years of service. He was an avid bowler, being a member of the Hall of Fame in the Memphis Area USBC Association. He loved to travel with family and friends and enjoyed seeing everything this country has to offer.
