Granby Joe Dial, 87, passed on to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on November 15, 2021. He passed away peacefully Monday afternoon after having a cardiac event on the previous Friday evening that left too much damage for his physical body to recover from. He is preceded in death by his wife Charlene of 57 years who passed away earlier this year. He is survived by his children Ann Dial Burke, Lee Dial and Hayes Dial as well as his sister Gwen Early. Joe was Grandfather to 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, with another Great Grandchild on the way. He worked for 28 years for Sears Roebuck and Company in the automotive sales division. In his later years with Sears, Joe also worked part time for Loomis Armored. After retiring from Sears, he continued to work part time until he was 81 years old, first for Napa Auto Parts, then Blue Sky Delivery. Joe was very involved with VFW Post 684, including Past Post President. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 22nd at Noon in the Wilson Chapel at Christ Church United Methodist.
