Gerald E. Robbins was born December 13, 1922 in Bedford, Indiana. His father passed when he was 18 years old. He took over as the man of the house and took care of his mother until her passing in 2001. He moved, with his family, to Memphis, Tennessee in the 1970's. He retired after 33 years with the Internal Revenue Service He was a member of Forest Hill Church of Christ. He leaves behind his wife, Betty Robbins, to whom he was married 57 years. He also leaves behind a son, Norman Robbins, a daughter, Melissa Oman, and a daughter-in-law, Emily Walker-Robbins, as well as many beloved friends and neighbors. He always had a joke and smile for everyone he met. He had the ability to always see the bright side of things, even when the troubles were great. He was a great husband, father and friend. His jovial presence will be missed by many. His memorial service will be announced as soon as possible at his home church. Gerald Robbins was 97 years old.
