Florence Jean Elkin, known to family and friends as Jean, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born on August 3, 1937, in Memphis, Tennessee, where she was raised and spent her life surrounded by family and the community she loved.

Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was marked by strength, determination, and deep love for her family. Those who knew her will remember her strong faith in Jesus, her tenacity, her steadfast ways, and the care she showed to those around
her.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Reagon Buford Elkin, and her siblings, J.W. Cross and Evelyn Jo Ransom.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Elkin (Pam), and John Elkin.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: John Elkin Jr., Anthony Elkin (Amanda), Mark Elkin Jr., Misty Elkin, Joshua Elkin (Lauren) and Bruce
Elkin.

Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Lexi Jo Elkin, Haven Elkin, Shaun Hawkins, Ava Hawkins, and Liam Elkin.

Jean leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and who will carry forward the memories, traditions, and lessons she shared throughout her life.
