Edith Diane Horne of Olive Branch, MS was born on the 9th of October 1948 in Memphis, Tennessee to Edith Ernestine Gaia Hansbro and Harold Dennis Hansbro. On Sunday evening the 5th of January, 2020 at the age of 71, she joined her heavenly family in celebrating eternal life with Christ. The day had been beautiful and bright with the warmth of the sun bathing over everything despite the occasional cool breeze. As the day drew to evening we held Momma's hand and snuggled in close. Her hands were tender and loving as she held each of her precious children, grandchildren, and fur babies. Diane is survived by her loving children, daughter Tammy Touchstone; grandchildren Lily Touchstone, Colleen Touchstone; son Fred Steward, Jr.; grandchildren Taylor Steward, Sydney Steward, Elah Steward; daughter Regina Hutchins and her husband Mike Hutchins; grandchildren Matthew Hutchins, Peter Hutchins, Rebekah Hutchins, Naomi Hutchins; daughter-in-law Kathy Steward; grandchild Brittni Abbott; daughter-in-law Rachel Steward; brother Michael Hansbro and his wife Debbie Hansbro; sisters-in-law Nelda Warren, Cindy Horne; brother-in-law Jerry Horne; and many nieces, nephews and very dear friends whom she loved with all her heart throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernestine Christy, George Christy and Harold Hansbro and grandparents Helen and John Gaia. Diane had a big heart with such a deep love for her friends and family, but she melted at the sight of nearly every animal. Her Mom affectionately wrote in her baby book "Diane loves all things especially animals like dogs, mules, cats and birds." It broke her heart to see any of them on the side of the road or in need. With a big heart came a full home of over 24 fur babies that she loved and cared for, many were nursed back to health and given loving homes in her care. Diane's hobbies and talents were many, she loved painting, writing in her journals, stain glass, making porcelain dolls, and dabbled in needlework. She was a Master Gardener with a love to be outdoors planting flowers, digging up heirloom plants to share with family and friends, even if it meant diggingup daffodils from the side of the road that she found. Diane also loved a good deal and finding bargains, turning trash into treasure and making gifts. "Let's go get into some trouble!" meant making a trip to the local "Dollar General" walking every aisle searching for some special something that someone else might like as a gift, or going to Bob and Debbie's Storage for the latest finds. She enjoyed listening to country music, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton were just a few of her many favorites. Her favorite shows that she never wanted to miss were Dr. Phil and Ellen Degeneres, and evening shows Americas Got Talent, The Voice, Making It and CSI. Anyone who knows Diane knows all these things, but sharing them with you brings her joy...
