Dorothy Dooley Mayes, 81, was born on March 20, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee to Henry and Lula Mae Bady Dooley. She went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2018. Mrs. Mayes was a retired nurse for over thirty years and also was a very active member of Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Ron and Kristin Mayes and three granddaughters, Brianna, Jerastina, and Bristin. Mrs. Mayes was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lula Mae Dooley. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2 until service begins at 1 p.m. at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church, 70 North Bellevue Blvd., Memphis, Tennessee, 38104. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery.
