Dorothy "Laverne" Duggan, left this world on Thursday, April 21, 2022, to join her husband, son, parents, and other loved ones already in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Laverne graduated high school and married the love of her life Russell R. Duggan and had 7 children.

Of all things in life she most enjoyed good conversation and spending time with friends and family that she loved. She was accomplished in the culinary arts, enjoyed theatre, film, literature, chess, listening to her Christian Radio station and talking about theology.

She had a generous heart and a childlike faith in God and a belief in the goodness of others even when life was difficult. She was a human being and believed in humanity.

Laverne is survived by her children Russ, Elaine, Michael, Sarah, Anita and Jenny; her sister Shirley; many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Cousins and friends who love her.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 6th from 6-8pm at High Point Funeral Home and Crematorium, 3788 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN 38122. The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 7th, at 11 am at the same location. Burial will be at 2 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2545 East Holmes Road, Memphis, TN 38118.
