Donna Hazel Bryan Hodges (94) was born on August 3, 1929. She was the daughter of George Russell Bryan and Lucille Wilkey Bryan. She entered into eternal rest on August 11, 2023. Donna was preceded in death by her husband Charles Albert Hodges, Sr. and by her children Donna Marie Hodges and Charles Albert Hodges, Jr. Donna is survived by her grandchildren Dairn Anne Zachary, Daniel Vincent DeBacker, Jr., and Lindsey Marie Hodges Smith. She is also survived by many nephews, great nephews and nieces, and great grandchildren.

Donna graduated from Bartlett High School and retired from the Shelby County Government Engineering Department. She was a member of Germantown Baptist Church since 1972. Donna was an active Square Dancer for over 25 years. She was also an active Country Western Line Dancer for 16 years and taught for 12 of those years.

Donna will always be remembered by her family and friends for her warmhearted and playful personality.  Family and friends were the most important thing to her. She loved playing bingo with her friends, working crossword puzzles, researching family genealogy, and sharing new jokes and funny stories.

On August 22, 2023, Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm at High Point Funeral Home & Crematorium, 3788 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm at the funeral home on the same day. Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens located at 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN 38134.

The family requests that any donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her honor.
