Obituary

It is with deep sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Denny Joe Fugatt on November 3 in Memphis, TN. Denny was born on July 1, 1975 in Memphis. Denny genuinely was one of the good guys. He could make anyone laugh and tried to do so every opportunity he got. He loved to draw and his family is grateful for the sketchbooks full of his art left behind. Denny's most prized thing in life was his family. He loved to tell the story of how he met his best friend and soulmate. He loved to tell people how he married the girl next door and never missed an opportunity to tell how wonderful she was to him and how lucky he was to have "My Tiffy" in his life. They were married May 5, 2001 at Berclair Baptist Church in Memphis. He always looked for an opportunity to brag on any one of his children. If your kid did it, he was always sure his did or could do it better. Denny had many friends and never met a person he couldn't find something in common with. He said the happiest times of his life were the times he spent being of service in the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. Here he found a place to call home and a second family. Denny was preceded in death by his mother Sharon, father Terry and grandparents Steve and Jo "Memaw" Roberts. He leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Tiffany, daughters Alyssa, Haley and Carly, sons Chantz, Jaxon and Dyllan, grandson Josiah, sister Deena, brother David, uncles Don Roberts and Dale Roberts as well as nieces and nephews he loved dearly. Visitation will be held for Friday, November 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Berclair Baptist Church with a service to follow at noon. Interment will follow for family and Friends of Bill in Middleton, TN. In lieu of flowers, family asks Friends of Bill make a donation in Denny's name to Central Group of Memphis, all others are asked to make a donation in his name to Harbor House of Memphis.
