Obituary

Danna Sue Brown (February 1, 1957 – August 3, 2024)

Danna Sue Brown has passed away after a difficult battle with cancer. She was born on February 1, 1957 in Adamsville, Tennessee to Dan and Maggie Browder. She grew up on her father's farm, picking cotton and soybeans. She attended college at University of Tennessee-Martin majoring in accounting, working for a contractor with the US Postal Service for many years before transferring to Baptist Medical Group-GI Specialists. She was married in 2002 to her love, John Brown, whom she lost in 2009. She retired to Panama City Beach in 2022 for some well-deserved rest and relaxation. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Maggie Browder, her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Sam Venable, and her husband, John Brown. She is survived by her nephew Nick Venable, including his family and children (to whom she was Nanna Danna), her niece Maggie Venable, her in-laws "across the pond" Jim, Jan, and Jane Brown, her stepchildren Jamie Brown and Lucy Brown, and many other loving friends and relatives. Her remains will be cremated, spread at the ocean and in the mountains, and then laid to rest next to John, in the Adamsville cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society in her honor.

The celebration of her life will be on Sunday, August 11, 2-5pm at SkiMo's Restaurant.
