Christine Kennedy, age 71, of Bartlett, TN, passed away on October 29, 2023, after battling with COPD and other illnesses. Christi was born on September 20, 1952, to Jane and Howard Curry in Lancaster, Ohio. In February 1968, Christi fell for Jim after Jim knocked her down while running to his track meet at Memphis Technical High School. Christi and James Kennedy Sr. (Jim) were married on March 18th, 1970, at East Side Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Christi and Jim went on to have three children, Stefeni Kennedy, James Kennedy Jr., Michael Kennedy. In 1998, Christi retired and spent her time being a Maw-Maw to five wonderful Grandsons, Christopher, Evan, Christian, Aidan, and Addison. Christi also loved to crochet things for her loved ones and friends. She also loved a great card game. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023, at High Point Funeral Home located at 3788 Summer Avenue Memphis, TN, 38122, Specific times listed below.
