Charlene Maxell Dial, 82, passed on to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on January 28, 2021. She passed peacefully after a brave fight against colon cancer surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Granby Joe Dial as well as children Ann Dial Burke, Lee Dial and Hayes Dial. She was Grandmother to 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Charlene was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi on November 15, 1938. She graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1960. She worked first for two different doctors then for Holiday Corporation for 22 years. Charlene was an avid bridge player and played in several bridge clubs at the same time. She was very involved with VFW Post 684, including several times as the Ladies Auxiliary Post President.
