Carter Ray Vaughn, 73, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on July 8, 2018. He was born in Huntingdon, Tennessee on May 14, 1945. His parents were James and Minnie Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn is survived by his wife of 29 years, Faye; five children, Deborah Coleman, Carter Ray Vaughn, Jr. (Debbie), Brittany Push, Carolyn Gayle Vaughn Hinson (Jimmy), and Janet Kay Vaughn Cook (David); six sisters, Virginia Lunsford, Patsy Smith (Richard), Alice Christian (Houston), Reni Davenport, Peggy Ellis, Tammy Kyle (Dale); three brothers, James Herrold (Patsy), Richard David (Brenda), Kenneth Earl Vaughn (Audra); nine grandchildren, David, Holly, Jacob, Misty, Robert, Joseph, Alejandro, Arianna, Venny, and another on the way, Isabella Faye; great grandchildren, Maddie, Carter Richard, Brandon, Khloe, Grace, Jacob James, Cody, Garrett, Ragan, David, and Sophia. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carolyn Vaughn; four brothers, Ricky Lynn, William Davis, Joe Neal and Michael Brent Vaughn. Visitation will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, July 11 until service begins at 1 p.m. at High Point Funeral Home & Crematorium. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Eads Cemetery.
