Carolyn Jane
Tindall
Jan 15, 1942 — Dec 15, 2024
Lakeland
Carolyn Tindall, 82, a loving mother and cherished grandmother, was born on January 15, 1942, daughter of the late Woodrow and Hazel Vancleave. She passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was devout to her faith within the catholic church. Carolyn retired from St. Francis Park, patient transportation, where she worked for 35 years. She was often recognized by her patients, management, and co-workers for her positive attitude, smile, and unwavering dedication to her job. She also went to beauty school and became a licensed Cosmetologist and worked part time as a Beautician in her mom's beauty shop.
Carolyn's greatest joy and achievement was her son, daughter, multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was an amazing cook, and prior to her health decline, her kitchen was the gathering place of many holiday dinners where we all anxiously awaited our favorite dishes and treats, especially her cherry wink cookies, and homemade chocolate pie.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Billy Amsden (Brenda), and Melissa Dorning (Jay). Also surviving are grandchildren Justin Dorning (Anna), Chris Amsden, and Tiffany Young (Clifford). Great grandchildren; Audrey Spicer, John William Dorning, Oakleigh Dorning, Austin Amsden, Madelyn Amsden, Colby Young, Carson Young, Don Young (Chelsea), and Amanda Worley (Joseph). Great-great grandchildren Gabrielle, Jett, Ramsey, Piper, Tilleigh, and Shiloh. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Vancleave (Nancy). Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother and father, Woody and Hazel Vancleave, grandparents Victor and Gladys Young, great grandchildren Bailey and Shelby Young, nephew Eric Vancleave, and multiple other close family members.
Visitation will be on Friday December 20, 2024 at 10am, funeral services at 11am, both at High Point funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery on Poplar Ave.
