A few words from her son:

Mom you will be greatly missed. I have always loved you from the first day I knew what it meant to love your mother. Even before and after. As I begin to go through things searching for pictures of you I began to realize that you kept EVERYTHING. No matter how insignificant it was. I have been asked to share memories but as I sit here writing this it is hard to pick out a few when I had a lifetime full of them. You were always there in my life from beginning to end. Everything you kept are now my memories. I have discovered things long forgotten. I have laughed, cried, and smiled as I sorted through it all. You are a good mother and were a great wife. Through the good, the bad, and indifferent we stuck it out together as a family till the end. Love held us together. You and dad gave me the best life possible. I will be okay. I was raised the way a southern gentleman should be. I will always try to make you proud every chance I get and honor your legacy. I will take care of Bat as I promised as well as Tiggy, Cleo, and Lucy. I find comfort knowing you are in Heaven and I will see you again someday. Until then I will carry on "and be a simple kind of man"- Lynyrd Skynyrd
