Obituary

Caprice McCaslin Hebert, 59, of Memphis, Tennessee, was born on April 30, 1963 to the late Mary Eleanor Anderson Shank and the late John William McCaslin, Jr. She went home to our Lord on February 15, 2023. She studied art and graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1988. She enjoyed a career in art, then traveled for the Wella Corporation, and worked as a stylist, while living in Atlanta. Caprice was a devoted daughter, sister and niece who loved caring for her family most of all. When family members' health suffered, she returned to Memphis to care for both her mother and her beloved grandmother, Juanita. At the same time, she went back to school to pursue a new career in biotech. She cherished her time with family, friends, her pets, gardening and cooking for family members, but her heart was always in New Orleans. Caprice is survived by her brother, James D. Westbrook, Jr.; her sisters, Christina Shank, Kim Brewer and Amy Jones; and her uncles, Ronald and Lynn Anderson. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Juanita Edward and William Herman Anderson, Jr. and Marie and John McCaslin, Sr.
