Obituary

Betty Lou Freestone Page, 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Waters Page Jr, and son, William Lee Page. She is survived by her children, Steven Lee Page of Oregon City, Oregon, Diane Lee Page Boes (Jeffrery Allan Boes) of Cordova, Tennessee, Duane Lee Page (Lori Pabst Page) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Susan Lee Page Hester (Ricky Hester) of Lenoir, North Carolina; daughter-in-law Annette Erickson of New Richmond, Wisconsin; sister, Dorothy Freestone Albright (Robert Albright) of Arlington Heights, Illinois; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Betty was born on December 7, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Clarence James Freestone and Mildred Elizabeth Nixon. After marrying Leon on April 13, 1951, they shared a lifetime of memories raising their family in Minnesota and Wisconsin. As empty nesters, Betty and Leon moved to Concord, NC where she worked for Philip Morris until her retirement. After her retirement, she volunteered at the Carolinas Healthcare System Northeast performing light administrative duties. Over the years, she was an avid hobbyist enjoying doll house decorating, knitting and cross-stitching. Her lifelong dream was to be a loving wife and mother (later extending to her grandchildren and great grandchildren). She is greatly loved and will be sorely missed.
A small family memorial will be held at a later date in Sunset Beach, NC (lovingly referred to as "her happy place").
